Every day, we are working hard toward our vision of attaining excellence. The commitment of our families to being equal partners in creating students' success is crucial to attaining that vision. We want our families to be involved in their children's school life, learning along with their children and making life-long learning fun.
We encourage your participation in parent programs and we welcome your involvement through ongoing, open communication with teachers about your child's progress and through your commitment to support your child's learning at home.
In addition, you can stay informed about the progress of your child's education. Please take the time to visit the WOLCS PowerSchool Parent site in order to view your child's grades, attendance record, and homework. Please, download and read the attached document on "WOLCS Parent Portal" regarding changes to using PowerSchool.
Our students' day begins at 8:00 AM and ends at 3:30 PM. The school year extends 190 days for students and 205 days for staff. Teachers participate in two weeks of intensive professional development in August. Students are dismissed early each Wednesday to participate in structured development activities.

Excuse Notes for Late/Absent Attendance
To submit an excuse note online, please send an email to [email protected] and provide the following:
- Your Full Name
- Student's Full Name
- Student's Grade
- Student's Homeroom
- Day/Dates requesting to be excused
- Reason for Tardy/Absence
