Summer Packets
As many of you know the summer provides a much needed break from the rigors of school. However, research suggests that students can lose many of the skills acquired during the school year over the summer break if they do not continue to work on mastering these skills. In order to support continued learning and reduce summer learning loss, the literacy and math departments have provided assignments in both of these areas. For literacy students will continue to log steps for the 100 book challenge, complete a project related to one book, and write a summary of that book. For math, students will create a math dictionary to serve as a resource throughout the 2016-2017 school year. ***Both of these assignments are due the first week of school and will count of a grade.*** All children received a packet at the end of the school year with complete directions, if you are missing the packet it is available via the link below.
